Judge strikes down Bush on terror groups
"A federal judge struck down President Bush's authority to designate groups as terrorists, saying his post-Sept. 11 executive order was unconstitutionally vague, according to a ruling released Tuesday. "The Humanitarian Law Project had challenged Bush's order, which blocked all the assets of groups or individuals he named as 'specially designated global terrorists' after the 2001 terrorist attacks.
"'This law gave the president unfettered authority to create blacklists,' said David Cole, a lawyer for the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Constitutional Rights that represented the group. 'It was reminiscent of the McCarthy era.'"

It even says that if you associate with a group that they suspect might sympathize with terrorists you're included too! It's like all you have to do is be close to somebody they suspect. Thank Goddess this was knocked down!

I don't know about the MCarthy era, but our president is just trying to do his job. That's mighty hard when the people are fighting against him. America is threatened by terrorists, and it takes brave men to stand up to them. Sometimes defending your country ain't pretty. But if you don't like it, leave.

So if we disagree with you we have to leave the country? What country are you from, anyway? Freedom of speech is fundamental to America.
And how is the president being brave? If he volunteers to go to Iraq and get shot at, then I might say he's brave. Bravery is not being surrounded by body guards 24 hours a day.

President Bush is leading people asstray while claiming to be following Christian values. Jesus taught forgiveness not killing masses of people for no real reason. Bush is trying to appear like an angel of light. Sound familiar?
