Hearing on Emily Sander Murder Suspect Israel Mireles Continues
The preliminary hearing for suspect Israel Mireles, who is the prime suspect in the killing of Emily Sander, is continuing. After hearing the preliminary evidence, a judge will decide if there is sufficient evidence to go to trial. At that point, Mireles will enter a plea.
Today (Tuesday, August 18, 2009), Aurelia Resa, college friend of the Kansas Sander, testified that she saw Sander leave a bar with Mireles the night she disappeared.
The case has drawn national attention because it was discovered Sander had posed nude online under the name of Zoey Zane. Sander had said that access to the website was blocked so that people in her hometown of El Dorado couldn't access it.

I agree with Perlie. Killing is not justice, it's just killing. I'm very sorry for your loss.

As I said before, if you kill someone, you deserve to die. God demands an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a life for a life. If you put out someone's eye or tooth, then yours should be put out. If you take someone's life, your life should be taken.

Let's follow your logic, shall we, Andy? A deserves to die because he killed someone, so B kills A. But now B killed someone, so she deserved to die, so C kills B. Now C deserves to die....

I'll challenge you, Zod. But let's wait until after Israel Mireles' trial begins Nov. 2.
