Troy Anthony Davis Still Waiting to be Freed or Executed

The U.S. Supreme Court will decide on whether to grant Troy Anthony Davis an appeal after it returns from recess in September. Davis has been in prison for 17 years for the alleged murder of a police officer. More than once, he has come very close to being executed.

Repeated attempts for an appeal or retrial have been thwarted or denied, in spite of the fact there is no physical evidence against Troy Davis. Almost all witnesses have recanted their testimonies against Davis, and many said they were coerced into testifying against him by the police. One of the remaining witnesses has been identified by several people as possibly the actual killer.

How long will this go on?

Please go the website and help stop his execution! I don't believe even guilty people should be killed, but I believe he's innocent.

Say, I got an idea. How about we execute everyone who falsely testified, and the police who told them to do it, and all the judges who didn't give him an appeal. Then if we learn they're innocent, we can dismiss the charges and let them go.

I don't often agree with "Rev. Bootie," but a false witness should receive the same punishment as the person he witnessed against. If a person dies because of a false witness, the false witness should be put to death.

The man deserves another trial. If there is that much doubt to his guilt, then executing him without retrying him would be wrong.

I usually am diametrically opposed but I agree with Christian Andy
