Nuke Japan
New Hampshire State Representative Nick Levasseur wrote on Facebook. "Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn't enough". This is a stupid and insensitive remark. Nuking Japan was a horrible thing that we had to do and it is extremely insensitive to make light of it. I don't know what else to say. It was a stupid comment so let it be.
As for Anime. In Japan EVERYBODY watches anime. In the US only children watch cartoon but that is changing. In Japan they make Anime for everybody! They make Pokemon and Card Captor Sakura for kids. They make Naruto and Bleach for young adults. They make Claymore for older adults. They make Urotsukidoji for "Mature" adults. Anime can be X-rated and that freaks out people in the US who think the Japanese are perverts. This is not true. The Japanese won't let children see X-rated Anime just like Americans won't. It is a culture difference.
Most of the world doesn't have the puritanical ideas about sex that we have. On the other hand, we embrace violence which the reat of the world does not. We are very warped in our own way.
Oh well! Have a great day.

America should not be nuking Japan. But making "mature" anime should be stopped everywhere. No one should have sexual thoughts about anyone except their husband (if they're a woman) or their wife (if they're a man). All other lustful thoughts are sinful before God. When a man lusts after a woman in his heart, he commits adultery with her.

He probably meant it as a joke, but people didn't find it funny. There are still people alive who remember the bombs and who lost loved ones.
And some anime is violent, some is sexy, some is funny and some is sweet. Sometimes all in the same anime.

On the one side, a politician can't say anything without being stomped to the ground because of it.
On the other side, saying two nukes was not enough was way too much.

People just can't take a joke. Did he write a bill to bomb Japan? No. He made a joke about what what happened 70 years ago.
And Andy, lusting after some cartoon character might be weird, but adultery? I don't think so.

Tom, I understand your point about cartoon people. But some people don't find jokes about killing millions of innocent people funny. Really as a politician he should know the affect his words can have. I hope he learned something from it, and maybe other politicians will be more careful about what they say.

This was a bad joke, and I don't think people find it funny.

Cartoon people don't grow from the ground. Cartoons come from real people. If you lust after a cartoon, you're lusting after the person the cartoon is based on. And that's not right.

It is human nature to be attracted to people and fascinated by people even if they're drawn. The human libido can be drawn to almost anything. As long as it hurts no one, that's normal.

Just read 20 percent of divorces blame Facebook because spouses caught their mate cheating that way. If it's online, it's not private. Ask Paris Hilton and Vanessa Hudgens.
