Senator Al Franken Introduces The Student Non-Discrimination Act
Senator Al Franken (D-MN). introduced The Student Non-Discrimination Act (SNDA) in the U. S. Senate. If approved, the bill would require schools that receive federal funding to not discriminate against students on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
A version of the bill was previously been introduced into the House of Representatives by Representative Jared Polis (D-CO) in January. The Senate bill has 22 co-sponsors, and sponsorship of the House bill has increased to over 100.
This bill would not only help prevent discrimination against gay and lesbian students, but also those who are transgendered.

This really should pass. We shouldn't be paying schools to discriminate!

First, we should discriminate against weirdos because they're weird.
Second, all of you on this site are weird.

There are too many laws already, but we should not discriminate against a person's identity. I love Al Franken.

Kids are kids
in love and fights,
but like adults
they deserve their rights!

How about all you who think everybody should be gay and lesbian go to an island. Live there for a while. See how many children you all have. You don't get it. People come from heterosexual people, they don't come from gays and lesbians. If everybody was gay and lesbian we'd all be dead.

Schools should not be forced to promote homosexuality! God created Adam and Eve, male and female. As Tom said, children do not come from gays, they come from people who follow God's plan for marriage. If everyone were heterosexual, everything could be fine. If everyone were homosexual, people would die off and be gone.

This is not about schools promoting homosexuality, Tom, it's about discrimination. And it's not about making everyone the same. If you don't discriminate against African Americans, that doesn't mean you're trying to make everyone black! :)
