Breastfeed at Target
In Texas they said a woman couldn't breastfeed at Target even though the law said they could. So women protested Wednesday by having "nurse-ins" at 250 of Target stores.
Breastfeeding is natural and not something that has to be hidden. Before people invented baby bottles every human being breastfed.
Some people make breasts sex objects. Who decided women's chests are sexy and not men's? Not me! If you believe in God would he make something a sex object that he wanted babies to suck on?
I believe in God and Goddess and the human body is a beautiful thing. We should not force people to hide it.

This is so true. Mothers should be able to feed their babies everywhere. How could anybody think that's wrong?

Thanks for posting this! My sister breastfed her three-year-old at Target and most people didn't pay attention. It's natural and it's necessary. Skin to skin bonding is so important for babies and young children. It's important for all of us. I hope those people who don't understand will learn from this. We'll all be better off.

Breastfeeding is natural, yes. But so is going to the bathroom. There's a place for that too. We don't need to see it.

The picture was explicit, for me anyway. Let them feed their babies. Don't they have better things to with their time?

Why can men go topless and women can't? Because men think they rule the world.
Vern, do mothers have better things to do wtih their time than what? Feed their babies? It's love.
Andy, if people shouldn't see breastfeeding, then why aren't babies born blind? One of the first things they see and touch is the breast. It's beautiful.

All females should be free to go topless. All the time. At my house.

I saw someone breastfeeding at Target and didn't know it was part of a protest. I just thought it was a woman taking care of her baby.

In the east
or in the west,
for baby's feast
breastfed is best.

We appreciate the effort Lorien and The Loveshade Family have made to raise awaremess for the importance and the legality of breast feeding. The benefits to a breastfed baby are numerous, not least of which is an increased immune system. There is also the critical benefit of skin-to-skin contact n healthy psychological development, as has been mentioned.
Currently, forty-five U. S. states and the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands have laws that specifically allow women to breastfeed in any public or private location. For information on these and other laws related to breastfeeding especially in public, please visit http://www.ncsl.org/default.aspx?tabid=14389
